Keep an eye out for miles!
Miles, a Leaside native and an avid runner, has returned for Monster Dash 2020, and he seems less angry this year. Probably because when you're the biggest Hallowe'en Run you have less to worry about. Miles is REALLY, REALLY excited to see the event "survive" to reach the milestone of 9 years.
He enjoys long walks in cemeteries, hanging out in morgues with his other ghoulish friends, and watching zombie movies. As the Mascot of Monster Dash, Miles makes sure the run is filled with his friendly spooky ghosts and scary ghouls ready to laugh. He has designed the course 8 years in a row making sure all his friends take flight and frighten everyone in their path! (seriously though, especially parents.....he won't bite)! MILES FAVOURITE THINGS

Miles Was Created By......... Emily Carr School of Design (BC) grad Megan Furesz. Megan used her out-of-the-box creative thinking and off the wall graphic touch to create our beloved mascot, Miles!
Our objective was to create a character who was both scary and cute. Miles brings good luck to all runners who cross the finish line safely, given the four-leaf clovers on Miles' race bib. Keep an eye out for Miles (sorry, bad pun) at this year's event. as his likeness can be found on banners, posters, direct mail, advertising, plus the fantastic medals that all finishers receive as participants in Toronto's finest Hallowe'en themed fun run. By the way: The name Miles was chosen from many submitted to race organizers. Congrats to Timothy of East York for selecting the winning entry and receiving the $500 prize! |
