ABOUT THE EVENT
Monster Dash presented by Go Dodge Don Mills is a family friendly event that takes place at the Ontario Science Centre, 770 Don Mills Road, M3C 1T3 (Don Mills and Eglinton on the TTC line).
100% of all pledges and donations support our charity partners, the main 2019 Charity Partner is once again the
Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital.
Monster Dash presented by Go Dodge Don Mills consists of a Spooky Mile and an accurately measured 5km and 10km run/walk. The 5km and 10km will be chip timed for prizing and posting results!
Never fear Monsters, costumes are not mandatory; however, we do encourage them for additional prizes to be awarded to best costume, scariest costume, best group/team costume and more!
We even have a Trophy pictured here!
KIDS SPOOKY MILE
The Spooky Mile will be restricted to participants who are 12 and under. It will be a fun run and there will be a clock for kids to see their time, however it will not be chip timed. IF your child is in track and cross country and is 7 or older consider joining them in the 5k, where they make their debut at this distance!
Spooky Mile kids in 2019 will receive the cool Coffin Medals, a small sized pair of socks and goodie bag in addition to the same post-race amenities as the adults. The best part is the surprise candy stations along the way so don’t forget to bring your trick or treat bag!
We at Monster Dash encourage everyone to bring along their own cheering squad (aka babysitter) so Mom & Dad get to have some fun on the 5k or 10k!
Monster Dash is a ritual for many in the community and we couldn’t be prouder, says Ian Reid from U of T Track: "I am excited to defend my 8-year title and enjoy racing against all the fast up and coming young runners who take off when the gun goes off like there are spiders in their pants”

5K and 10K
Join the fun and check out the many costumes and characters, from the giggling goblins in the Spooky Mile for kids to the fastest batmen, princesses and vampires in the chip timed 5k and 10km runs.
The Youth and the Adult Races start together and go through the dark and scary Sunnybrook Park.
All finisher will receive a unique, best in class finishers coffin medal.
Race Director Peter Donato believes aspiring Halloweeners shouldn’t shy away from creativity. After all, “Halloween is the one time of the year when we can pretend to be someone else, so bring on the scary and bring on the fun!”
Attendees from all over Ontario join many local Leaside families for Good Times, last year featured: BBQ Chicken Dogs from Maple Lodge Farms, fresh fruit from Longo’s, free face painting and a visit to the famous Cemetary of Dead Races! The always-full Swag Bags offer free Monster Dash blankets with all 5k and 10k registrations, and parents can purchase a Meal Ticket to avoid rushing home for dinner.

Top Rated by YOU! Testimonials My 7 year participated in the Spooky Mile and my 11 year ran the 5km. I highly recommend this event. It was very well organized and lots of fun. We will be back next year. Thanks again Yes, I would recommend this race to a friend. -------------------------------- First year I have done this run. I loved it. Our group walked the 5k to just have fun. It was quite dark where we turned around and hard to see people who didn’t have lights. Next year we will bring more lights just to see the ground where we are walking. The after food was amazing and the medals were a hit. We will try to bring more people in our group next year. A very fun night was had by all of our group!! Yes, I would recommend this race to a friend. Yes, I would consider attending this race/event next year. ----------------- Just did the 10k with Monsterdash. The route was different this year then in 2014, much safer and smoother, mostly even except just few small hills. This year, there were much less 10k runners than last year. Not a lot of cheers, laugh and inspiring volunteers, unfortunately. Amazing costumes though!!! I’d say that more course marshalls would be great for this new route along DVP. Once we lost our way, undecided where to turn on the way back, or to do a curve. Great goodies bag, good food after the finish! Yes, I would recommend this race to a friend. Yes, I would consider attending this race/event next year.
